301 and 302 redirect in SEO?
Status 301 means that the resource (page) is moved permanently to a new location. The client/browser should not attempt to request the original location but use the new location from now on. If you want to keep your SEO Page ranking and authority from your old webpages to the new pages, use 301 redirect. It will advise the internet searcher that old page has been moved to another URL.
Status 302 means that the resource is temporarily located somewhere else, and the client/browser should continue requesting the original url. The temporary redirect will tell crawlers to continue indexing the old page. This redirect doesn’t carry or pass the link value to the new location. If you have plans to take your visitors to the old web page after some time, 302 temporary redirect is useful. The traffic value, page authority, and page rank will not be passed from the old to new pages.
